Intervals:
2 minute work + 1 min rest x 4 games = 12 minutes
Setup:
two 20x20 grids side by side
2 teams of 8 (numbered 1-8)
Activity:
Team in possession scores by completing 10 passes
Defensive team scores in counter goal.
Coaching Points:
+ After losing ball, 3 nearest players have 3 seconds to win ball back
+ If haven't won ball back in 3 seconds, recover behind ball to get compact
+ MENTALITY --> quick reactions on transition

Setup:
44x50 grid in midfield, but on one side of midfield to pull in wide players
White in 3-2-1 (with players as shown)
Blue in same formation
Activity:
Team in possession tries to score in opposite gate where target is waiting. When target is played, they switch to opposite target who passes into their team (transition). Progress to switched target dribbling into game and player takes their spot.
Coaching Points:
+ 3 second rule -- immediate pressure after losing possession by 3 nearest players.
+ If they get organized, so do we -- if we havent won ball after 3 seconds, get compact behind ball
+ #11/#3 channelling play inside where numbers are

5 minute game + 2 minutes rest x 3 games = 21 minutes

3/4 field with small goals as shown
Lay down cones for wide channels as shown.
White team in 1-4-2-2
Blue team in 3-2-3
Activity:
Ball starting positions: kick off, midfield throw-ins, free kick in midfield
White team usually starts with ball and tries to score in wide goals by DRIBBLING through.
