Organization:
- 12 x 20 areas setup as shown (duplicate as needed)
- 12 players (split into groups of six: 5 attackers & 1 defender)
- 1 ball (additional on outside)
Instructions:
- (A) Play starts with defender "1" on center line playing pass to attacker infront of goal "2"
- After passing defender closes down attacker 1v1 who takes first touch offline, luring the defender in close
- Attacker "2" fakes to pass & performs turn or change of direction move before passing to opposite endline
- Defender turns on the pass to opposite end as Attacker "3" now receives the ball
- (B) Attacker "3" now dribbles forward & plays 2v1 game with Attacker "2" now becoming support player
- Defender "1" aims to prevent goal & if does so aims to dribble ball through either end gate
- Players all move up the line one position (1 to 2, 2 to 3) and play repeats.
Coaching Points:
- Head up whilst dribbling: observe the picture
- Quality & Weight of Pass
- Timing of Movement: How? Where? When?
- Execution of Combination: Wall Pass, Overlap etc
- Disguise & execution of turn/fake
Progressions:

- Middle channel setup as shown
- 12 Players (5 attackers, 5 defenders & 2 goalkeepers)
- 1 ball (additional on outside)
Instructions:
- Teams play 5v5 mini game
- Assign teams 1-2-1-2 formations
- Attacking team can score in goal only after making combination in central channel
- Defending team aim to win possession back & attack in same way

- Head up after 1st touch (make connection with next player)
- Head up whilst dribbling: observe the picture

Progressions:
P - Players must stay in their zone (2v2 in def/att thirds & 1v1 in middle third). Player that passes into zone can support to create overload - 3v2 or 2v1.
P - 1 touch finishing

Diamond Passing Warm Up (15 mins)
Organization:
- 20 x 20 diamond setup as shown
- 12 -16 Players
- 2 balls (additional on outside)
Instructions:
- Players are looking to take two touches to move the ball around the diamond.
- Start w/one ball. Passing sequence is up - back - across from starting point (A). When ball arrives at opposite side (B), then sequence is repeated - up-back-across to staring point (A). Players follow pass and rotate around diamond
Progressions:
- Limit to one touch
- Add second ball (one ball starts at A, one ball starts at B). Please need to manage play to maintain flow. If one ball "catches up" to other ball, then plays need to dynamically shift into up-back-up-back sequence into flow can be restored
- Add two central players per ball and start each sequence with up/back to both central players.
- Add two central players per ball and start each sequence with combinations between central players.
Coaching Points:
- Travel with the ball. Ball moves, player moves.
- Check on eye contact, connection & 1st touch
- Can you receive on back foot?
- Execution of combination; timing & speed.
- Quality of pass (make sure of weight and accuracy
