Small sided Activity (20min)
4v2's in half field. Red must connect 3 passes before scoring. Blue provides low resisistance
Once blue wins the ball the play is over
Progression: If Blue wins the ball they can score in small goals. The red team has to drop into low pressure on their own half. Once blue crosses the line they have 7seconds to win the ball back
Cp's- Gradually pick up speed, proper technique (ankle locked,toes up-heel down, planted foot over the ball, planted foot-hips-shoulders facing target), proper weight and direction of pass, keep head up and scope area around you, make space for yourself, communicate, provide support in width and length, constant movement off the ball to provide correct angles for passing lanes, shoot from different angles.
Defensively-Immediate chase from player that lost the ball, along with the group. Display all defensive principles (pressure,cover, balance, compactness,communication). Push attacking team into a desired quadrant (shrink the field)
