#1 Keep It Up

Set Up:

1) Players in pairs with a ball

2) Players stand 5-8 yds apart

Rules:

1) Keep the ball in the air

2) Have the players use their sweetspot (laces)

3) Allow 1 bounce (if your players need an extra bounce, feel free to adjust)

4) Keep the ball within the area

#2 Ball Striking

Set Up:

1) Grid 40x25 yds

2) 2 GKs

3) 2 goals

4) Two groups of players with balls

Rules:

1) Dribble towards the cone, push the ball to the inside and shoot the ball

2) Two players should be going at the same time

3) Work on having the players get the ball on frame

*Add - After a player shoots, they have to defend the next shooter. This will allow you to work on your transitions from attacking to defending and defending to attacking.

#3 4v4+ GK

Set Up:

1) Field 40x35 yds

2) Three teams of 4 (make numbers appropriate)

3) GK in Goal

4) Extra balls at the top of the field

Rules:

1) Attacking team goes to goal

2) Defending team plays ball to 3rd team waiting

3) 3rd team acts as bumpers and targets for the defending team (counter goals)

4) If the defending team plays the bumpers, then the attacking team becomes the defending team and the bumpers become the attacking team.

*Sequence - Attack - Defend - Bumpers*

*If the attacking team scores, then the defending team switches with the bumpers. Attacking team gets to continue to attack*
