Motor skill warm up (5 mins)

Players pretend their ball is a rocket ship and count down from 5...5,4,3,2,1..Blast off!

On blast off players throw the ball up as high as they can and attempt to catch it.

(p) players attempt to throw the ball up and then put their foot on it.

Astro boy/girl vs space cowboys/ cowgirls (10 mins)

Organization: Players try and avoid having their ball hit with space blaster.

Instructions: Astronaunts try and explore all the corners of the universe. Space cowboys use their blasters (soccer balls) to hit astro boys/girls rockets. If you are hit by a cowboy/ cowgirl you pick the ball up and become one yourself.

Coaching Points:

Running with your head up

(p) Close small touches in tight spaces.

(p) Longer touches when cowboys are around

Progressions:

Ball at feet must pass ball to blast astro boys/girls ship

Football/Soccer Session Plan Drill (Colour): Buzz Lightyear

Buzz Lightyear (15 mins)

Organization: Players try to keep the ball in the area

Instructions: Buzz lightyear (players) have been charged with the duty of keeping all planets inside the milky way. Emperor zog wants them out. Players must return all the (plantes) soccer balls inside the galaxy that zog throws out.

head up to find planets

must return it with only feet

must return it with only head

must return it with only elbows

Football/Soccer Session Plan Drill (Colour): Alien invader

Alien invader (15 mins)

Organization: players avoid being captured by alien invaders

Instructions: Players explore the universe with coach once they are spotted by alien they must retuen to the enterprise and put on shields.

Coaching Points:

run with your head up

(p) close touches when exploring. Longer touches to escape alien

Progressions:

add a ball at their feet.

can use blaster (soccer balls) to defeat alien. Must kick soccer ball at aliens feet.

Space mission (15 mins)

Organization: Players travel through the galaxy to explore space.

Instructions: Players start on earth (blue cones) the must make it to Mars (yellow cones) they must jump over and run around astroids in the middle of space. If they hit an astroid they must go to space station to get ship fixed and decontaminated.
