Focus – Ball Literacy
Name of Game: Topple me Coconuts
Organization
Split players into 2 teams and have them line-up
as shown below. Place balls on top of cones like
coconuts. Ask players to alternate making
passes/shots to try and knock the ball off of a
cone. If a player is successful they can go and
retrieve both balls and bring them back to their
side. Encourage celebrations!
Alternatives
Easier (U4): Start with rolling the ball across a
smaller distance.

Focus-Ball Familiarity
Activity Name: Moving Goal Game- multiple balls
Organization:
Divide players into pairs. Coaches or parents hold a practice
vest between them forming a goals. The players must then try to kick their ball through the
goal (any side) while the goal is moving around.

2. 35x25
3. Two goals 5 yds apart to simulate areas in the goal we want player to finish in.
Coaching points:
Minimal coaching - give players ideas or bring tindividual to the side to show how to improve finishing technique.
