Set Up:
1.) 30x20 yds (minimum) and 40x25 (max)
2.) Three teams of four
3.) The third team can be bumpers around the field (not allowing the ball to go out) or your can play each game to a certain amount of goals or time limit
4.) No Gks
5.) Four mini goals
6.) If the ball goes out of bounds, restart via a pass in, dribble in or the play restarts from the coach passing a new ball in
7.) For the 7v7 and the 9v9 teams, you can play this same activity with 3v3
Rules:
1.) Each team has to defend two goals and attack two goals
2.) The game is played to a set number of goals or a time limit
3.) This is a great activity to address the principals of attack and defending
Notes:
This is a great activity for addressing the following topics: midfield and back four defending and attacking in lines and blocks (for 11v11 teams). If played in a 3v3 format, this is great for midfield and back three defending and attacking in lines and blocks.
