Instructions:
Phase I: Technical Repetition
- All players are to be put in partner pairs with one ball between two. They are to utilize the proper inside push pass technique as demonstrated by the coach. Create insentive by seeing how many players can make 'two-touch' passes in a row to their partner. Emphasize one touch to control and one to pass.
- Progression: Players stand in front of red cone and after they pass they must check back (back pedal) around the cone before they can recieve the next pass.
Phase II: Technical Reptition With Competition
- Players are in their partner pairs with a ball and cone placed at an equal distance away from one another. Depending on the ability level this can be anywhere from 5 - 10 yards apart. Players are working to knock the centralized ball off the cone with their inside push pass. Every time the target ball is knocked over it is 1 PT. Player that knocks the ball over must place the ball back on the cone. Players are responsible for collecting their own ball.

Game: Jack In The Box
- Players are divided into teams of 3 - 4 players. There is one player who will serve as the "Jack" in the "Jack In The Box." The rest of the team is lined up at the red cone. Players will go one at a time to dribble to the level that they are at (from shortest to longest). They can only progress to the next level if everyone else on their team has passed and scored within the net. Once all three levels are beat by the 'free teammates' they must sit behind their goal which releases 'The Jack.' For the team to win, the Jack must score on all three levels and then sit behind the goal.
- Players must pass before the level marker or the pass/shot wont count.
- Players must utilize the inside push pass technique or the shot wil not count
Coaching Points:
- Head Up: Where is my target? Where do I need to go?
- Spacial Awareness - Where does the player need to shoot from?
- Touch Size based on Spacial Awareness
- Proper Inside Push Pass Technique
