Triangle Goal Shooting
Organization: 1 GK, 3 players; 7 yards each side of triangle; 2 balls per player; flags
Instructions: The GK will stand within the triangle while the other players are on the outside, one player per side. On command the GK will begin the activity by stopping a shot/pass/volley from an outside player, distributing the ball back to that same player, then rotating to the next player and repeating. This will continue until the GK has played six balls.
Coaching Points: 1. All shots/passes are always handled with both hands; 2. Distribute by rolling/short, overhand throw; 3. Get feet set before handling ball; 4. Call for ball ("keeper!")

GK in start position, does figure of 8 around cones. Down into a press up, spring up ready to save shot. As soon as ball is dealt with, Coach 2 delivers cross for keeper to catch. Three keeper turns to take a lobb throw overhead by server 3 into opposite corner and backpedal to make save.

Instructions: 1. GK1 and GK2 take turns to shoot on each other.
2. Once the GK strikes the ball they must recover quickly into position and ready for the other GK's shot.
3. The winner is the GK that saves the most shots.
Coaching Points:-move quickly in line with the ball
-move down the ball line to close off angle
-set feet
-correct diving/handling technique
-catch, parry, or deflect
-recover quickly
Progressions:P-GK that is resting can follow up on rebounds
R-increase distance

1v1 Shooting w/ Goalkeepers
Organization: 1-2 GKs, 1-2 shooters; shooting 12-18 yards from goal; supply of balls
Instructions: The GKs will start on either cone while the shooter will have the ball at the top of the penalty area. On command, one GK will shuffle to the center of the goal and the shooter will take a shot/pass/volley. The GK will stop the shot, distribute the ball back to the shooter, then shuffle over to either cone. The next GK will then repeat the activity.
