Organization:
- 40 x 30 yard area set up as shown
- 12 players (3 teams of 4) set up as shown
- Additional balls around the outside
Instructions:
- 3 minute games
- Team score by knocking their opposition’s balls off the cones.
- 1st to knock down all 4 balls is the winner
Coaching Points:
- Supporting foot is next to the ball, pointed at target
- Ankle locked, toe up
- Follow through towards target with striking foot remaining open throughout
- Body weight over the ball
Progressions:
- Limit touches
- Make area smaller

- Two teams of 5 + 1GK
- 2 goals
- 1 ball in play
- Spare balls nearby
Instructions:
- The objective for the blue team is only to possess the ball, they have three players on the inside and two players on the outside.
- The blue team can also use both goalkeepers to help them possess (making 7v5)
- The objective for the white team is to win the ball and score in either goal.
- Play 3 minute games, then rotate teams.
- The team that scores the most goals is the winning team.
Coaching Points:
- Short passing to draw defenders close
- Long passing to penetrate and unbalance
- Use GK to help switch the ball and keep defenders moving
- Movement off the ball to create passing angles
Progression:
- P - Reduce touches of attacking team
- R – The defending team must make two passes before they are able to shoot (allowing attacking team to recover)

Warm-Up (15 mins)
Organization:
- 4 - 10X6 yard area set up as shown.
- 12 Players (Separate in teams of 3).
- 16 cones; 4 cones in straight line 2 yards apart.
Instructions:
- Player 1 plays to player 2.
- Player 2 has two touches, 1st touch takes player 2 into a new channel, player 2 plays player 1.
- Player 1 moves to a new channel and players back to 2.
- Speed should be high.
- Players keep going until there is a mistake (taking more than 2 touches, hitting a cone, or playing through the same gate as the previous pass).
Coaching Points:
- Angle of approach center.
- Supporting foot is next to the ball pointed at target.
- Head up to observe target.
- Contact on ball - middle.
- Contact on foot - inside.
- Ankle locked.
Progressions:
- 45 Seconds time limit to complete clean repetitions.
- Play for highest consecutive passes without a mistake.
- Play for points, when a player makes a mistake, other player gets a point. Play for most points.
