Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): 2-3-1 games

2-3-1-game (60 mins)

Session Objective:to develop play through lines and 2-3-1 shape

Organisation: 2 teams of 6 in 2-3-1 formation,staying in areas with goalkeepers.

A.Begin as possession game up and down through lines.Forward player can only hold / play back.

B.Extend so striker can pass/turn/shoot in possession.If he wins ballback off defending 2 he can also shoot.

C.One player from central area can support forward when ball goes into attacking zone..

D .Two players from central area can support forward.

E.Player from defensive area can support in central area.

F.Player from central area can break to receive pass in either free zone A or B and deliver to forward.One Central player can also support,making 3rd man run.Remaining player to screen in case possession lost.

G.As before but defenders can break inbto free zones C or d and play to central area.

H.fun finish - one touch only in attacking zone.
