The idea of an Arrival Activity is so players can join in straight away as they arrive
You should have set the pitch up BEFORE any kids arrive
Arrival Activities should be 'self-managing' so you can focus on setting up the rest of the session

Mini-matches

Set-up

Set up several mini-pitches, and pit players against each other as they arrive
Use your tactics board to write down the activity (in time the kids will then manage themselves)
Players should be able to manage this themselves whilst you set up the next part of the session

Rules

Explain where the touchline and goal-lines are, and then let them manage the game themselves :)
Ask them the score regularly so you can swap players around
Play with 1, 2 or 3 (max) players on each side

5 minutes max, just until the kids have arrived
