Goal:
To emphasize good circle-play tactics and positioning.
Drill:
This drill is fluid, each station moving into the next — Players A, B, C, and D are a part of a "scoring group" and should do all three stations during one repetition.
Recommended:
Rotate your goalkeepers often in this drill.
Split into two or three teams of four players and see which "scoring group" can score the most goals.

2. Player C then starts the second ball by dribbling through the minefield at the top of the circle, then passing through a gate to Player A, who has led to the top of the circle. Player A shoots. Player B is in the circle for a deflection or rebound.
Emphasis: Two-touch shooting for Player A from the top of the circle.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Hockey images.
3. Player C quickly collects another ball and dribbles toward the outside of the field with their vision upfield, then passes to Player D who is leading outward. Player D receives the ball and either immediately crosses the ball, or dribbles the ball into the circle. Player A and B are waiting to deflect the ball or collect it and shoot.
Emphasis: Player A and Player B should be occupying the "stroke-spot" and far post. Player D should have their vision up on the cross and be intentional about the pass.

Station 1: Dogleg Pass
1. Player A passes the ball to Player B who carries it with speed through the small minefield, then passes it (with either a strong-side or reverse pass) to Player A who is ready for a dogleg (straight back) pass. Player A shoots.
Emphasis: Player A should be at a 90-degree angle for the pass to be effective.
