Arrange cones to make enough grids for each player/participant and at least 1.5m in size and up to a maximum of 5m squares. Set up another row of cones 1.5m back for you to work in.

Players can place their footballs around, but not inside their grid, with room in the coach's area for any spares.

Include dynamic stretches as required.

Players now use their grids to make the field into 3 areas with footballs at either end.

Players in area 1 must combine with 3 passes before passing the ball to area 3 without any player from area 2 touching it.

How many times can the 2 outside teams complete the challenge before central team touches the ball?

Rotate central team after a few turns or minutes. (non Covid variation is swap with the other team when you win the ball - ball starts with other team and it becomes continuous)

NB this is where the size of the grids is important - too small and the ball will be intercepted a lot and too big, no challenge as it'll be too easy. Get creative - what if it's too big and too easy? what game rules can you change? must use different feet or part of the foot, must complete passes before central players complete a task, get to all sides of their grid for example. you can come up with plenty more
