Tag - Conkers (10 mins)

Practice intention

• To invade or evade the opposition

Task Design 

• Yellow players are aiming to evade the blue player
• The blue player is aiming to tip the Yellow players
  • Blue player wears a bib and holds the remaining bibs in their hand
  • If a Blue tips a Yellow, they pass them a bib from their hand and they join them as a blue
• The round ends once all the players are caught
• 3rd last to be caught earns 1 point, 2nd last 2 points and being caught last earns 3 points
• If all players are caught within 1 minute, the beginning blue player earns 3 points
  

Tweaks 

• Task - Change the body part they must touch e.g., the front of the body or the back of the body
• Task - Have bibs in a pile on the floor
• Task - Increase the number of blues to two, to begin with

1v1- Conkers (20 mins)

Practice intention

In-possession: Search, discover and exploit spaces/gaps to outwit the opposition to score

Out-of-possession: Minimise space and win possession

Task Design 

• Yellow line 1 attacks goal B, yellow line 2 attacks goal A. 
• Blues aim to steal and dribble through a gate to score. 
• The round starts with yellows dribbling onto the pitch. 
• First, the blue line 1 player kicks a ball towards the yellow line 2 player to stop them from advancing, then tries to steal the yellow ball from them. 
• Simultaneously, the first blue line 2 player does the same as yellow line 1. 
• Round ends after goal or ball out.Players switch lines after each round e.g. Blue line 1 goes to blue line 2
